Army Of The Ohio

25th Ohio Volunteer Infantry Flag Conservation

The Army Of The Ohio, in conjunction with the Ohio Historical Society's Save The Flags campaign, has raised all the required funds to conserve the Regimental Colors for the 25th Ohio Volunteer Infantry.

We are pleased to report that as of October 6th, 2014, the conservation of the 25th Ohio Volunteer Infantry Regimental Colors is now complete. Our thanks, gratitude and appreciation goes out to everyone that donated to help us in this endeavor. Without your support, conserving the Regimental Colors of the 25th Ohio Volunteer Infantry could not have been possible.

We are planning to display the flag and have a reception in conjunction with the Ohio Civil War 150 symposium that is being held at the Ohio History Center November 7 & 8. Plans for the reception are still coming together. We are planning to have the reception the evening of Friday, November 7 following a talk by Mark Grimsley, which kicks-off the Civil War symposium.

As more information becomes available, you will find it here.
